Wendy Trehiou, Ailie Brown, Ann Pallett, Zoe Patterson, Debbie Thorne and Nicky Holgate-Smith have come together to attempt a swim relay from Jersey to France (14 miles), during their weather window starting 9 August 2023.

4 of these ladies have never swum in the vast open seas and are known to have phobias of whats beneath them, including seaweed, jellyfish and anything else that lurks beneath them as they swim!!!!!!

All ladies are delighted and feel privileged to have a great opportunity and have all been training hard in the sea since last summer, including winter cold water training.

MAZ CANINE primarily acts as a sanctuary and rehome for 50 dogs which are normally large breed. Rehome normally is in Spain and also the UK. The organisation also networks foster care as well as acting as a cat rescue.They are based near Tijola ,Spain.

Kim Halliwell Rescue currently has over 100 dogs as well as a large number of cats in their care. Kim rehomes as far afield as Finland ,France and Spain and has several re homed dogs in Jersey. Kim is based near Los gallardos in Spain.
