Hi! I'm a transgender, neurodivergent (but I repeat myself) woman soon entering her 30s, without a stable income, and with worries about the political future in the UK.

As of writing this, I'm currently unemployed (subject to change), and paying rent, which eats up the benefits I'm on. Transitioning here is really expensive if you want any sort of control over how you want it to happen, and don't want to wait for de-personalised scratchings from the NHS—an institution which is currently undergoing a fascistic overhaul in order to phase out the care of transgender people altogether not to be alarmist. ✌😗 In any case, *what with all that's going on,* I thought this fund would be a good thing to have. Last time I checked, holistic gender-affirming facial surgeries deemed "cosmetic" by the NHS fall within the price range of 30-ish-k, not accounting for travel costs and aftercare. There's also laser hair removal / electrolysis, which is covered by the NHS up to a point, until it isn't (subject to change ✌😗). This is why I'm hedging a bit. Funds will go towards the aforementioned surgeries and gender-affirming procedures. I'm still looking into providers. Any funds raised in excess of the final costs will be donated to Mermaids, a charity dedicated to supporting trans youth in the UK.

If you think there are better causes, feel free to not donate in silence. I've personally never had a problem with e-begging; if you do that's your business. This fund is long-term and directed at those who would do me a favour. If you donate over a certain threshold, beyond the standard deepest, most heartfelt gratitude, I may offer you a drawing, or a tattoo design, or to help you beat an Elden Ring boss... something within my means, to more concretely express my gratitude. Send me a receipt as proof, and I'll get on it. To be clear, you are not buying things from me by donating to this fund. You'd be doing me a favour (see above), and I would, in turn, do you a favour, within reason.
