I've raised £2250 to Help Fund Our Wee Paddys' Baby Helmet

patrick John Dalgarno was born at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital on the 27th March 2020 bang on 11pm and he was diagnosed with Plagiocephaly, Torticollis and Talipes, week 1 into what would be known as life in lockdown, it started rough.
According to statistics 1 in 5 babies get diagnosed with flat head syndrome and are at higher risk of developmental issues such as motor control, flattened head and midengined ears which unfortunately our wee Paddy has all 3.
Patrick was due to be undergoing physio though NHS but when lockdown restrictions tightened his treatment got postponed and it's still unknown to how high we may be on the waiting list.
Therapy for Patricks torticollis involves exercises of the neck to promote muscle movement and reposition the neck as currently his head tilt is to the left which is affecting the development of his head growth causing his left-side to be flat and his ear misshaped and without the right treatment it could be prolonged.
Treatment helmets for babies with flat head syndrome is no longer prescribed on the NHS as the helmets that our babies require to help with their development have to be specially made at the cost of £2000+ a helmet and Patrick requires this to reshape his head and align his ear.
We are a family of 5 of Aberdeen, and with currently living on 1 income and with a full family to feed, times can get tough but we manage but with the cost of the helmet being an estimated £2000 or more and no payment plans, we're not sure how we would manage to purchase it off-right and with this in mind, we are turning to our family and friends to ask for your support in helping Patrick get the care from Buchannan Clinic In Glasgow where we will make an appointment for a consultation and measurements to be carried out.
We know times are hard, and covid has taken it's toll on humanity but we thank you for the support you have given to us during these life changing times.
Thank you and please keep safe :)
