Story

Watcombe Wanderers is a grassroots community football club located in Milber, Newton Abbot, which is ever increasing in size and popularity.

We are looking to improve the wellbeing of our community and provide safe travel to not only the 350 children we offer training and development for but also anyone who wishes to enjoy the area, including the frequent walkers/dog walkers enjoying our shared space, and our visiting clubs, supporters and families.

We have a 6 year lease, with significant potential for longer, for the playing fields and our goal is to provide safe access to a location where people want to work, play, and learn in.

Unfortunately the access for our club has become extremely hazardous and the 1km unadopted lane leading to our Club grounds is full of potholes and the sides overgrown so safe travel and parking is a real issue.

Sadly, to make the much needed repairs is very expensive and outside of our budget. As its unadopted it falls to the people who front or adjoin the lane to maintain it....so us!

We are negotiating with different people to work out the right way to fix the lane, and working hard to get the best price, so any surplus funds raised that we don't need to use for the lane we will put into the club and show what we have spent it on via our social media.

We hope to make a real difference to all the people visiting our grounds and we feel we can make our club even better with your help!
