Story
The recent story of Worcester Warriors has been sad and painful but out of the dark clouds has come a shining silver lining, in the form of the Warrior's Women. The team are one of only ten premiership teams in the country and through the sheer tenacity of the rugby management team and the support of local businesses, it has risen like a Phoenix to not only survive but competitively compete in the 2022/2023 season, currently lying 5th.
The team are engaged in strong commercial discussions to secure international partnerships that will underwrite the long term future of the club. However, the summer is challenging! The club is looking to raise funds of £50,000 via partnerships, Just Giving, match day attendance and fundraising events, to help support operations until the start of the new season in September, ensuring that all the efforts of the business team can be spent securing long term funding.
What we are asking, is that 5000 people donate £10 each, the equivalent of one match day ticket, which is less than the average attendance at a Worcester Warrior premiership game. Put like this, it doesn't seem such huge target, but in terms of financial boost for the team, it is massive.
Any support will play an integral role in ensuring this powerful and dedicated team of elite players, coaches and medics, are fit, prepared and funded to start a new 5 year journey of Premiership Womens Rugby - PWR

2 years agoThe response to this fund raising has been really positive with people donating much larger sums of monies than anticipated. The target was 5000 people pledging £10 each, the equivalent of one match day ticket and the equivalent of one average gate, at at Worcester Warriors game, when they were in the premiership. Please keep sharing and please encourage as many friends and colleagues as possible to pledge £10, basically buy a ticket AND if you can, join us this Saturday (3rd) for the last game of the season!
