Story
WARKWORTH CRICKET CLUB WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1875 LONG BEFORE MY TIME, ALTHOUGH SOME WOULD DISPUTE THAT! THE CLUB HAS STEADILY BEEN DEVELOPING ITS CLUBHOUSE, GROUND AND OF COURSE ITS CRICKET WITH A FIRST AND SECOND TEAM, A JUNIOR TEAM AND NOW A STRONG LADIES TEAM WHICH IS GOING TO BECOME A MAJOR PART OF THE CLUB. OUR CASH REVENUE STREAM, WHICH COMES FROM THE BAR AND SOCIAL EVENTS HAS STALLED DUE TO COVID19. THE CLUB IS A CENTRAL PART OF ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VILLAGES IN THE UK AND THE CLUB PRIDES ITSELF WELCOMING LOCAL AND HOLIDAY VISITORS. THE CLUB TAKES PART IN AS MANY VILLAGE ACTIVITIES THAT IT CAN SUCH AS MUSIC AND BEER FESTIVALS AND THE LOCAL VILLAGE SHOW.

I'm 73 and WCC's Chairman. I'm targeting running 200k throughout the month of June to raise cash for Warkworth Cricket Club. I've done a few events such as this including marathons, tri-athlons and longs swims. The 200K runs will be covered in the beautiful local area.
