I've raised £10000 to help fund a new playground in Wanstead Park

We are fundraising to purchase play equipment for a new playground in Wanstead Park.
The overall aim of the playground project is to provide a variety of stimulating natural play opportunities for 2-10 year old children with a range of abilities, to develop physical, social and emotional skills through exploration and interaction.
Aldersbrook is identified in the Redbridge Local Plan as an area of play deprivation; children must get on a bus to access a play area. Aldersbrook Primary School has higher levels of obesity compared to national averages. The new play area will directly benefit the physical health of local children and offer a gateway to natural play in Wanstead Park.
The new play area will benefit local children and their parents/carers, by offering a safe, dog-free, social gathering place to encourage greater physical activity, free of charge. It will be a focus for families that currently underuse Wanstead Park, by providing a starting point for exploring the wider park. The new play area will encourage creative and natural play, engaging the next generation of young people in nature conservation. Children will benefit from increased time outdoors in a natural environment, with benefits to the mental health of both children and their parents/carers.
