Towards the end of 2020 Tom Parker received the devastating news that he had a terminal brain tumour. From that moment on, Tom with his positive mindset, set out to ensure he made the most of every single day he had with his young family. Realising that research into this disease was severely underfunded, he did everything he could to raise awareness and vital funds.

He surrounded himself with many people that gave him ‘Hope’ one of those being Dave Bolton. Dave is sadly also suffering from an incurable brain tumour himself.

Tom’s mum Noreen was by Toms side throughout this heartbreaking journey, one no parent should have to endure. Tom passed away at the end of March 2022.

With Tom’s birthday coming up on 4th August, Noreen wanted to mark his birthday in true Tom style and continue Toms legacy to raise funds !

So that’s exactly what she is doing…..

Please join us on a 5km walk through Bolton, starting at Tom’s Primary School, St Brendan’s RC Primary School to Tonge Park where he played with his friends as a child and ending at The Swan pub where Tom won a massive £1000 in a karaoke competition that changed the direction of his life!

Noreen is donating all funds raised to Dave Bolton’s 'Ahead of the Game Foundation' which helps people in the same situation as Tom.
