Story
We made it, thank you!
Well, we made it.. and on time too! A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. We've been incredibly touched by your generosity and the welcome home was truly humbling. It was fantastic to receive so much local support and for the Glan Clwyd Respiratory Ward nurses to take valuable time away to come and thank us for our efforts.
Thank you to the Mayor of Prestatyn, Tony Flinn for officially marking the occasion and to The Beaches Hotel who kindly hosted the evening.
Well done to all the locals, especially all the children, who joined us along the prom for the final 10 miles. It was heart warming and inspiring to see what must have been close to 100 bikes safely cycling along the prom. A fantastic effort from all those involved.
Thank you for helping us help others.
Why We Did It
Glan Clwyd Hospital and the incredibly dedicated staff that work there do so much for those who live in North Wales and thousands of visitors to this beautiful area every year. We want to do something to raise awareness of Asthma and to help the Respiratory Ward that has been supporting Phil's wife so much lately.
We've taken on the challenge to cycle the length of Wales, from the water side capital city of Cardiff to the Northern beach of Prestatyn, along a challenging 200 mile route in just one day.
This is going to be an incredibly difficult ride that will be mentally and physically exhausting. We hope you can support us in raising much needed funds to help the Respiratory Ward of Ysbyty Gland Clwyd Hospital obtain life saving equipment.
The Final 10 Miles
If you would like to join us for the final 10 miles of our journey we will be gathering at The Beaches Hotel in Prestatyn. We aim to arrive there by 20:00 on Saturday 29th June 2019 where you can join us along the coast, cycling to the blue bridge in Kinmel Bay and then back to The Beaches Hotel again. Press will be in attendance (ITV Wales are possibly filming this section too), so bring your families along for the ride!
If you don't have a bike, you can still come and cheer us on or be there to welcome us home at the end.
To follow our activities, see how we're getting on with training or to join us for the final 10 miles of our journey, please keep an eye on our Facebook Page.
