I‘m Josh, a fundraiser who raises money to support local food banks.

Like many, I was shocked and saddened to hear that Wakefield Food Bank has been targeted numerous times by vandals. Sadly, due to the cost implications, there is a chance that the food bank could close. We cannot allow this to happen when so many people rely on the service.

In 2018, St Catherine's Church reported more than 5,000 referrals, an average of more than 13 every day. Families rely on this vital service.

During times of adversity, the great people of this country pull together and achieve great things. If we all pull together, we can get the vital funds needed to keep the food bank running. It will also give the food bank an opportunity to install a security system to protect the building.

On Saturday 8th Feburary, I will be running 20k in order to raise vital funds for Wakefield Food Bank. I will be posting live video updates on the day and also tracking my mileage as evidence of completion.
