I've raised £500 to support 2 charities: Open Doors (helping persecuted Christians worldwide) and the Wild Goose cafe (helping homeless people in Bristol).

Hi! I am Jemima. I am a 10 year old (soon to be 11 year old) girl who decided that she wanted to do something drastic and slightly unexpected. I am not extremely normal but I try to lead a normal life. I bet you are now wondering what type of thing has this girl decided to do. Well, to answer your question, this girl decided that she wanted to shave her head for charity. I know that this is very sudden but I really wanted to go through with it. One of my best friends from church who I have known for at least 6 years said that the bald look would suit me. This made me think about lots of possibilities and fast forward a couple of months, here I am now. All of my friends from school say that it is a pretty wild idea that I shouldn't go through with. They have also reminded me again and again of all the bad things that might happen .This has just made me more determined but I have to admit that I am a little bit worried because it is my last year at primary school and so I will be starting secondary school in September. This means that if my hair doesn't grow back soon enough I will be starting school with a shorter haircut than what I would have wanted. The "bald look", as I call it, does have an upside though.
I will finally be able to pull off a wig.
Please support me! I am having my head shaved on Saturday 10th of October at 3pm.
