Volvo Penta UK and IRL are taking part in a 5km Santa fun run/walk in order to raise money for the National Coastwatch Institute. They provide the eyes and ears along the coast, monitoring radio channels and providing a listening watch in poor visibility. They are trained to deal with emergencies offering a variety of skills and experience, and full training by the NCI ensures that high standards are met.

The charity is staffed entirely by volunteers, and is completely self-funded, relying on generous public support and corporate sponsorship to enable us to continue to expand the number of lookout stations we operate around the UK coastline.
