Story

The members of Views are a group of visually impaired people who have a positive attitude to disability. We are committed to supporting visually impaired people to reach our potential and enjoy a variety of different opportunities, including educational, social and cultural activities. We are keen to share our insights and experience with others to raise awareness of the impact of visual impairment and ways to overcome social barriers arising from this, so we can all fully participate in a wide range of educational, social and recreational experiences.

We have been giving feedback to an astronomer and his team from Newcastle University, who have been developing ways of making astronomy accessible to visually impaired children and adults to enable them to have a greater understanding of the planets and stars.

Views is self supporting with no access to regular funding. We will welcome contributions to enable us to continue supporting visually impaired people to achieve their potential.

Thank you.er.
