I've raised £1000 to help Vietnamese people who have lost their homes and families in one of the worst floods in decades

Hi everyone,
This fundraising aims to help people in Vietnam who have lost their homes and families during one of the worst floods in decades. Floodwaters have killed more than 100 people and left almost 180,000 homes submerged. The money will go towards Vietnam's nationwide fundraising to provide food, rescue people, and also rebuild houses and schools. I would very much appreciate your support, regardless of how small it is.
You can see information on the flooding on BBC news: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-54615756
Thank you very much for your help!

Update on 14/11/2020:
Hi everyone,
Thank you very much for your recent contributions to support Vietnamese people who have lost their homes and families in one of the worst floods in decades. I would like to provide a quick update on the fundraising.
1. How much was raised?
We set the initial target of £1,000 and have managed to meet the target and raise £1,030 in total from 30 supporters. After deducting all the fees charged by JustGiving page, the amount available for withdrawal was £992.61, which was converted into 30,400,000 VND.
2. How is the money being spent?
After consulting with a number of people, the money is divided as below:
i) 2/3 of the money (20,400,000 VND) is being sent to directly support the people who are suffering from the flooding with the essential items like food, clothes and medicine. The activities are managed and organised by Hoang Van Ba, who is liaising directly with local people, authorities and Red Cross to reach the most needed areas and people. Please do visit Ba’s Facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100009196167002 to see the most recent footage and information of activities.
ii) 1/3 of the money (10,000,000 VND) is being sent to “Nhà Chống Lũ”, a non-profit organisation whose focus is to build houses that are safe for flooding areas. They are currently working with the local authorities of the flooding area. For more information, please visit their page at https://www.facebook.com/nhachonglu. You can also donate directly to them through Paypal here: https://paypal.me/songfoundation.
3. What next?
After seeing all the recent footage, I’m very shocked with how the flooding situation is still very bad in Vietnam. Lots of people are in need for basic stuff to get through this period and will also need support to recover their living once the flooding is over. The fundraising page will continue to be open. Any penny counts and we would very much appreciate your support.
Many thanks
