As you will all know my brother in law Mark has been very sick for the last 3.5 years. He had a rare illness called hepato pulmonary syndrome which meant his liver was stopping oxygen getting to his lungs. His only cure was a liver transplant. The specialised liver transplant unit in Edinburgh Royal saved Mark's life and have been amazing throughout his care. Mark was a complex patient and the team were dedicated to helping Mark, his Mum, Tony and the rest of his family. I hsve never known a fighter like Mark and his braveness. I have decided to run the 10k movember race (with Gillian) on 12 November to raise money for the liver transplant unit to say a huge thank you for their care and support and to help other patients and families who have ro go through a liver transplant.
