Story
With many delays due to collapse of the seawall in 2022 which halted any possible progress to the skate park site, we now have the opportunity to create some new obstacles. This meanwhile project will breath new life into the space making it super fun for the summer ahead.
This will be a hands on project with a dedicated experienced build team and anyone who wants to volunteer... think DIY SOS the skatepark version! 8 days, come rain or shine new things will be happening.
We are looking to raise some extra cash to ensure we can cover material costs and get as much done as possible in the time. Any money not spent for this first project will be held over by the charity for additional projects.
Any funds very much appreciated - and if you would like to get involved (no experience necessary just willing to get stuck in, but anyone with concrete/building knowledge or woodwork skills would be of huge benefit) please pop us an email info.ventnorskatepark@gmail.com

14 days agoIt has been great to see the skatepark brought back to life over this past week. THANKYOU to everyone who donated, it really helped us out in making sure we could get what was needed in a very short space of time. The charity will now be looking into the future of the park and how it can be further developed so it remains a space for wheeled sports for many years to come.

1 month agoThanks SO MUCH to everyone who has donated - we have been really touched by the generosity. All money raised will ensure we don't have to scrimp on this current DIY project so we can get as much done as possible in the week. Any remaining funds will stay with us so we can do more in the future (as well as work on the longer term goal of getting a full concrete permanent park at the site). Work has started today. If you are local to Ventnor then please do pop down, the team will be happy to have a chat and let you know what they are up to.
