I've raised £1000 to help an elderly disabled neighbour.

I am doing this for my lovely neighbour. Mary who lives next door to me has been disabled for the last 20 years, she is practically bed ridden as she cannot stand for long. Her outings are only to the Hospital and due to problems with her bones it has to be by ambulance. She has no family in London and has no children, (originally from Ireland). So relies on a few friends for shopping etc. She is also very old fashioned and does not like technology. Her life revolves around her cats. A few days ago she had a knock at the door in the evening, she was told by 2 men that they needed to check her water pressure as due to the snow some people were left without water. She let them in and went into the kitchen with one of them, thinking the other one had left. She kept wanting to go back to her bedroom as she can't stand for long, the man kept telling her to wait as it was nearly finished. When he left, she went into her bedroom and realised the other man had been there going through all her stuff and she the noticed he took her life savings of nearly SEVEN THOUSAND pounds, she was very heart broken as it was her funeral money and money she saved in case her cats ever needed a vet.
She is happy to be alive as if she would have gone back to the bedroom and caught the other man there who knows what would have happened. She has learned sadly the tough way as to not trust strangers. Police were called buy they must have been wearing gloves as forensics found no fingerprints and there is no CCTV.
If you could donate anything to help her, that would be very kind as she is now left with nothing, she is a very proud woman.
Thank you so much for your time.
