Story
UrbanScape was a vision of a then 14 year old who wanted to make a difference to his community, and put an end to the flytipping hotspot on his street.
On the 6th April 2023, the community garden launched after 2 years of campaging, public consulations, and negotiations with the council. Since then it had been enjoyed by many, day and night as a serene outdoor community space.
At 1:18am on the 19th May a lone man from the L8 area made several journeys stealing 18 plants and shrubs from the garden with his bare hands. The damage incurred totals £900. We need your help to buy bigger and better plants, install a security camera and lights to ensure the space can be open once again for the community to enjoy.

1 year agoWe have done so much since our last update. So far, your funding has supported us with the purchase of cameras installed at the garden, more so to keep people safe. We have used the remaining funds to purchase plants and had some great support from B&Q who donated what we couldnt afford. A planting session took place and we weeded and bedded in new plants.

2 years agoHuge thanks to all who've donated to the fundraiser so far. CCTV has now been installed-it will ensure safety of people and plants in the space in future. Please keep supporting, now we need to reach goals for lights and replacement plants!

I used to play on this street 30 years ago. The flowers each summer are a big part of my memories. Thank you for all of your amazing work for the community and for creating memories for the kids now!
