Hey guys,
First of all I would just like to say a massive thank you too everyone and your support. Our original plan was to just make a few face mask and put them outside of the fashion school and hope we could raise a little bit of money for a charity that desperately needs our help.
Myself and Ariea are just students that have a small bit of free time between classes and wanted to help. Luckily we have a very talented mother Jacqui Burke who has donated a lot of her resources and time to help us with your amazing response.
We have over 400 orders from people all around Dunbar and Edinburgh and we couldn't be more thankful the money we will raise from this it is completely life changing to these kids. Right now in many countries like Malawi they have been forced into lockdown due to this virus with no financial support at all. This can be detrimental to families but how do you find a balance between having to go out to work so you do not starve to death and not leaving the house in fear you contract this virus.
£15.90 can feed a child in Malawi for a whole year. The money we raise will ensure the lives of other 100 children that otherwise may not have survived. Again we only suggest a donation of £5 but anything you can afford is amazing.
We have been in the fashion school every day since working from 8am to 11pm trying to make as many masks as possible due to the overwhelming support we have experience from the people of dunbar. A massive thank you to everyone who has offered their time in anyway they can and a big thank you to our Granny and Grandad for providing lovely dinners.
We are dunbar born and bread and we understand that not everyone can afford £5 for a mask and at some points of all our lives we have been in that situation. so if this is you please message us and we can do our best to help.
