Unforgettable Croatia have now become one of the leading travel companies to Croatia, and despite this growth, we have always had our social responsibility and sustainable tourism aim embedded into our business operations.

For this reason, we are pleased to announce a partnership with the ‘Blue World Institute of Marine Research and Conservation’ (BWI), based in Lošinj, which works to protect the marine environment in the Adriatic Sea.

This is a non-profit research centre responsible for dolphin, whale,shark, giant devil ray and sea turtle conservation efforts in Croatia.

In addition to the various volunteer projects we work on with BWI, we’re proud to donate a percentage of our annual profits to funding a new Blue World Education Centre.

The Losinj Marine Education Centre in Veli Losinj, Croatia was the first centre of its kind, since opening in 2003. Over the years, this centre with its activities and volunteers has hosted 100,000 visitors, 500 school groups and many organised tourist groups. Due to the popularity of this cause, the centre is now too small to host the rising numbers of visitors and in 2010, the Marine Institute presented a plan for a new building.

Unforgettable Croatia are delighted to be a partner in the sponsorship of the development of this centre and will be donating a percentage of our profits to this worthwhile cause. The primary aim of the centre is to aid the marine environment and its biodiversity and achieve excellence in research, education and conservation programmes.
