Story

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to look at this page.

You may be aware that the numbers of homeless people are rising in Britain and therefore also in Aberdeen. In collaboration with the Newton Dee Confectionery we have decided that we would like to bake for the approximately 150 homeless people currently supported by the Care Hub Aberdeen Charity. A contact from the charity is happy to pick up our production and take it to be distributed, so there is no direct link between us and the recipients. The Confectionery is happy to bake, but I will need to find the funds to pay for the ingredients. The ingredients for 150 individual tray bakes cost about £50.

Therefore, I am asking you to help me by making donations. It would be nice to support people outside of Newton Dee despite our current social distance from everyone else and also to find additional meaningful work for our Confectionery Team who have lost opportunities to bake since we had to close the Shop and Cafe to the public for quite some time now.

I appreciate your support.

Thank you,

Ulrike
