We are all watching the horror unfold in Ukraine and hearing of the desperate situation thousands of families find themselves in as they try to escape from war. Women, children and the elderly have left their homes and lifetime possessions to undertake a potentially lethal journey to some form of safety.

The generosity of host families in Poland, Hungary, Romania, Moldova and Slovakia has been amazing but these refugees have nothing. My Company (UK based) works closely with a Business in Kyiv, a small company with 100 staff. The leaders of that business have moved mountains to help their people & families of their people to escape the war, spending their own money to do that without a second thought. I am so inspired by their love for their people and the selfless generosity they have shown.

And I want to try to help in some tangible way. My friends are on the ground in Poland and Hungary driving desperate families from the border (after a 16 hour queue in freezing conditions) to the homes of host families. But we need to raise further funds to help this effort. We need to buy medical supplies and essential provisions for these families (food and a change of clothes). The funds will be used locally to buy provisions to avoid the delay and cost of shipping. Within hours of any donations, 100% of the money raised will be spent directly on helping these wonderfully brave people whose lives have been turned upside down in just 7 days.
