Iʼm raising £2,000 to fund our next mission to Ukraine

Don't have time to donate right now?

Story

We are delighted to announce, that after the enormous success of our last mission to Ukraine, we have further plans in place (subject to fundraising) for our fourth mission to Ukraine, which will take place at from 25th January- 12th February 2025.

WHAT WE'VE DONE SO FAR...

- We have now trained an incredible 516 Ukrainian state firefighters in life saving trauma care, including haemorrhage control and basic life support. It is without doubt that these firefighters will go on to save many lives.

- Supplied 18 fire stations with trauma kits and stock to replenish those kits.

- Donated three ambulances to various organisations in Ukraine

- Supplied three tonnes of medical supplies

Each mission to Ukraine, lasts approximately 2.5weeks. During which time, we drive out to eastern Ukraine, and spend time visiting fire stations to train firefighters and supply them with medical kit. We run multiple training sessions each day, in order to maximise the number of firefighters that we can train in the space of time that we're out there.

Working in Ukriane obviously comes with risk, and we've found that the more hostile an area is, the more our help is needed- which is why we operate as far east as we now do. In addition to working where we are most needed, we also provide the medical kit that firefighters need most. Genuine tourniquets, trauma bandages, haemostatic gauze and chest seals are all sourced in country from reliable suppliers, and are of the same specification and standard as we have in the UK, but they cost 1/3 of the price. This means, that your money goes further when you donate to Outreach Paramedics.

In total, it costs approximately £8,000 to send a team of five paramedics and two interpreters (who are all volunteering their time for free) to Ukraine in our two ambulance trucks for 2.5 weeks.

This equates to a cost of £35/firefighter to train, which we think is damn good value for money.

Any and all support is gratefully received. From sharing our story, to getting involved or fundraising for us- it all helps.

If you've made it this far, thank you- we know we wouldn't be able to do the work we do without our supporters. Thank you.
