I'm raising £3000 to equip and send a Dental Truck to the war zone in Ukraine

UPDATE on 11 November 2024.
The Dental Truck has successfully left the UK, but, unfortunately, it had an accident in Poland - please see the photo in our updates section below. We urgently need more funds to arrange the repairs and get the truck back on the road. This is what needs to be purchased/done:
* Two new front tyres
* A complete spare-wheel
* Side mirror
* Head-light
* Two rear tyres
* Fastening the cargo-“box” to the frame so it is secured
* LED-bulbs for improved dipped-beam
* There’s a coolant leak - it needs to be fixed
* The radiator needs to be replaced/repaired

Together with Natasha Salkey (Ukrainian Mums United) we are raising £3,000 for the mobile dental unit for the war zone in Ukraine.
We are volunteering and crowdfunding for UAID International, and UAID delivers aid directly and fast. We're raising funds for a very special project! We'd like to equip and send the Dental Truck to the war zone in Ukraine.
Here's our story.
The war in Ukraine has taken a staggering toll on the country’s health-care system. Dentistry near the frontline reflects the current crisis of the health-care system, but in an exaggerated form. The shortage of providers is severely felt, and near Ukraine’s “zero line,” oral surgery takes precedence and focuses on cases of acute pain. Normal dentistry, such as restorations and hygiene, is considered a luxury, and is only available 40 miles away from the “red zone.”
A wonderful couple from Bristol, UK donated a Horse box to be used near the frontline, in the Kharkiv region in Ukraine. It will be used by ETOC (European Tradition of Charity) a charitable organisation, which helps the internal refugees, delivers humanitarian aid to the war zone, and evacuates people and animals from the disaster areas.
As you can see on the photo, the Box has already been transformed into a mobile dental unit by our partners from the charities Aurora Aid and Emergency Aid for Ukraine based in Bristol. Some equipment has been donated towards this initiative, the kitchen interior has been fitted, and the truck is now equipped with the autoclave and dental chair/set.
However, we need more funds to complete this project and buy the remaining equipment, new spare wheel and tyre as well as secure funds to insure the vehicle and pay for road tax. To speed up this project our partners from the Aurora Aid charity will be delivering the Dental Truck to Ukraine themselves at the end of October.
Both civilians and the military will benefit from using the Dental Truck. For the military it's doubly important, as dental pain can render a soldier incapable and put their unit at risk of taking casualties. We aim to provide normal dentistry, as well as emergency dentistry, i.e. acute pain, and damages caused by war.
