Story
Hi everyone.
*Update*
With our charity fun day & other fundraising events we have now raised over £3000 for these amazing charities.
Matthew & I (Julianna) have decided to do something a little different this year. We had originally planned to Climb Mt Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world in October 2021 but due to Covid Travel rules etc we postponed until 21st February 2022. This has been something I have wanted to do for a very long time, and as a Type1 Diabetic, this is a massive challenge for me health-wise.
We are doing this for a charity called Rays Of Sunshine. This charity delivers wishes for terminally ill children or children with severe life-threatening conditions. These wishes can be anything from driving in a fire engine to walking on the pitch with Manchester United or meeting their favourite celebrity. This is a charity very close to me & one I would love to raise as much as possible.
While planning our fundraisers, we had heard about another worthy cause about someone local in our community, a 41-year-old man called Leslie Smyth. Leslie & his family are raising vital funds to get Leslie LIFE SAVING Cancer Treatment in Mexico. We would be delighted if we were able to help this family out in any way we can as he has two beautiful young daughters that he wants to see grow up & a loving wife at home, along with a large extended family & friends group who would be lost without him.
So we have decided to split all our monies raised to these two fantastic causes & we hope you can all support us by donating as little or as much as you can. It would mean the world to us to complete our mammoth challenge, and we want to do all we can to raise as many Vital funds as possible for Leslie & Rays of Sunshine.
You can keep up to date with our training & our climb on both our social media & how much money we have raised.
Thank you all so much again.
