Iʼve raised £1,406 to refurbish our raised garden beds and purchase additional books for school, by running the Hairy Haggis Relay Marathon on 29th May 2022.

    Story

We have three teams of parents running the Hairy Haggis Relay Marathon on Sunday 29th May. They are all busy parents, juggling work, family commitments and many other things. Finding the extra time to train for an event like this is a big deal. If you feel able to, please support their tremendous efforts, and help us to raise some money for the purchase of new books for school and the refurbishment of the school garden and raised beds.

Each team of four will need to run 26.2 miles in four legs: Leg 1 = 8.3 miles, Leg 2 = 5.5 miles, Leg 3 = 8 miles, Leg 4 = 4.4 miles. Details of the route can be found online here: https://www.edinburghmarathon.com/relay/route-map

    Our teams are:

Team 1: Julia Trotter (P3/6), Mairi Milne (P1/5/7), Lindsey Ross (P3/5/7) and Clare Lorimer (P1/3).

Team 2: Anna Henderson (P2/4), Graham Hoy (P6), Alicja Blaz (P1) and Stephen McKimm (P3/6)

Team 3: Ian Knapp (P6), Emma Diffley (P3/6), Anna Gilfillan (P3) and Fiona McKimm (P3/6)

Leg 1 (the Royal) will be covered by Julia, Graham and Emma. Leg 2 (the Cock & Pan) will be Sarah, Alicja and Anna G. Leg 3 (the Gosford)will be Mairi, Anna H and Ian. Leg 4 (the Glory Leg!) will be Clare, Stephen and Fiona.

We would love some support along the way if you're free!

Only Graham managed to escape the camera! Given that we were never all in the same place at the same time, here is a collection of the pictures we did get. Well done everyone!
