Story
The coming two years are a very exciting and critical period in the club’s history. We have the chance to move the club forward and create superb facilities for all boys and girls in the local area.
In 2018 we will see all our existing facilities demolished to make way for a new housing development. There is planning permission to build a brand new clubhouse which will be for the sole use of TWYFC and the local community
The clubhouse already has an amount of funding in place as a result of the overall Hub development but we still need to raise a substantial sum of money to make the clubhouse a reality. To do this we are applying for a FA grant but as a club we still need to raise £100,000 to ensure this can happen.
A committee from the club has been set up to organise this fund raise but we are heavily relying on all club members and the community in general to make it a success. If you have any questions the Fund Raising Commitee Chairman is Rob Crocker (e-mail: robcrocker@tunbridgewellsyouth.com).
We are organising a number of events and initiatives throughout 2018 to ensure we reach the required amount. This particular event will see club members and the members of the community complete the Tunbridge Wells Circular Walk which is 28 miles. We will also be organising a shorter distances of 2 miles for our younger members to participate in. The date of this walk will be Saturday the 21st of July 2018 and will end at The Imperial Pub in Southborough who will kindly host our after event drinks.
Without these fundraising events the new clubhouse is in danger and could lead to the closure of the football club. T Wells Youth FC has over 500 members from the local community and is run by 90 volunteers. This makes it one of the largest community clubs in Tunbridge Wells and a important part of the Southborough and wider Tunbridge Wells community.
Please see our website (www.tunbridgewellsyouth.com) for more information on the club and our fundraising efforts.

7 years agoI thought I would just let you know that the football club completed our sponsored walk! Over 60 members completed either the full walk or the shorter version. The longer walkers ended up completing 29.72 miles in 10 hours and 47 minutes. 58,724 steps. It should have been 27.5 miles but we got lost twice! The club would like to thank all for sponsoring us and we are really proud of what our friends and family helped raise. We raised over £4,000 on JustGiving and BNP Paribas kindly gave us £2,000 too meaning we raised over £6,000 in total. Rob
