Story
Give a coffee (£2) to help our Tunbridge Wells food and drink businesses after the water crisis.
From Saturday 29th November to Thursday 4th December, Tunbridge Wells faced a severe water outage that closed down our food and drink businesses. Even with doors now back open, many are contending with the ongoing challenges of low pressure, boil-water notices and disrupted services.
For small, independent, family-run cafés, pubs, restaurants and food retailers, these days of closure and restricted operation have been devastating. Losses for many of them have reached five-figures, wiping out what should have been the most important trading month of the year.
Why We’re Raising Funds: This fundraiser has been created to offer direct support to food and drink businesses in the affected areas of Tunbridge Wells. Every penny raised will be passed on to those who ask for help - the very businesses that serve our community day after day and are now struggling.
How You Can Help: In the midst of the festive season, even a small contribution of £2 (less than a coffee!) can make a real difference. Your donation will help to cover lost income, replace spoiled stock, support staff, and ease the pressure. This is a moment for us to stand as a local community to show love to the people and families behind it.
Together, we can help our independents recover, rebuild, and step into the festive period with hope rather than worry. Thank you for giving what you can and for standing by the incredible businesses that make Tunbridge Wells such a special place.
How Funds Will Be Distributed: All donations will be shared equally among hospitality businesses that request financial assistance as a result of the recent water outage.
If you are an affected business and would like to be included, please contact us at info@thetncard.com so we can add you to our support list.
