Story
It is with deep sadness that we appeal to you for your help.
The scenes of devastation from Turkey and Syria are heart-breaking.
The two earthquakes have created the worst disaster in this part of the world for decades.
The first earthquake destroyed buildings and wiped out neighbourhoods.
With such cruelty, the second earthquake hit the emergency services as they tried to help people trapped in the rubble.
In Syria, refugees from the civil war were hit.
After so many years of suffering, they have lost what little they had.
The world’s governments have responded with aid and emergency support.
But we – the world’s citizens – must do the same.
We can offer the money to pay for disaster relief, and for support for homeless families in Turkey and Syria.
Money now will save lives over the next few hours – and every minute counts.
So please – donate whatever you can spare.
We can’t bring back the thousands who have died. Mums. Dads. Brothers. Sisters.
But we can help the living – now – in their most desperate hour of need.
Please donate and ask others to do the same.
Thank you.
