Jez, Zuz (his wife) & HOFS quickly realised that messages and texts of support were not going to be enough and within 48 hours of the war starting an idea was put into action.

Jez has a 7.5t truck, which was loaded with essential supplies kindly ferried to them by British Expats in Czech republic. Finnish HOFS members drove non stop to Warsaw with a second load and it snowballed from there, 6 full truckloads of aid delivered directly into Ukraine to where it is needed and the load count rises evert second day

The aid will be running aid supplies from Poland into Ukraine for as long as its possible. The truck consumes up to 320 litres of fuel for each trip.

To do what he's doing, he is going to need our support to keep his truck running back and forth into a warzone. Read the last seven words again when you're thinking what to give and what he's doing...

Fund Stage 1: Continue to fund the diesel necessary to drive aid into Ukraine in a 7.5t truck

Fund Stage 2: Providing a high mobility 4x4 Paramedic Ambulance including our Paramedic Joe so that we can extract casualties from areas two wheel drive ambulances cannot reach.

Fund Stage 3: We have been asked repeatedly to help extract families with a disabled family member, we will provide a wheelchair accessible vehicle capable of coping with the conditions to work within Ukraine and help those that are the most challenged to move, safely to the border.

Fund Stage 4: Children and Baby unit, we will adapt a vehicle to be able to cope with war torn roads and safely move the most fragile passengers imaginable.

This is not about heroism or excitement; this is about helping desperate mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters and children, families that were sitting watching Netflix like you or me. The grandmothers, grandfathers, mothers and children now stand in a 10km long line for days to try and escape the warzone and get to a safer place – which is also unknown and reliant on the compassion and love of strangers. The husbands and fathers are staying to pick up weapons that they have never used before so that they can defend the things that we take for granted – their homeland.

We're setting this Just Giving site to try and coordinate efforts to both fund this and help people who have any of the supplies being officially requested get them to where they are needed.

We've put the target as £30,000...but it is unlimited really, so please support with whatever you can.
