This morning on the 29th of July, 2024, the community of Southport was devastated by an unimaginable tragedy at a local community centre. During a Taylor Swift-themed party, children aged 5 to 11 were attacked by an individual wielding a knife, leaving the entire UK in shock and mourning. This senseless act of violence has left families and the wider community in deep grief.

As Southport's community radio station, Mighty Radio 107.9FM, we are stepping forward to support the affected families during this heartbreaking time. We are launching a fundraising campaign to provide assistance and comfort to those impacted. While no amount of money can ever replace the loved ones lost or injured, we hope to offer some support to the families as they navigate this difficult journey.
