Tourniquets and Haemostatic Dressings..... Not something anyone wants to use or be on the receiving end of, but when things go wrong they can mean the difference between life and death.

Our team of volunteers are currently undergoing a series of training exercises in the use of these and many other emergency first aid items at the scene of an RTC (Road Traffic Collision). During times of adverse weather we often encounter RTC's and due to the conditions it can be a while before help arrives, thats where our training is vital.

The kits cost approximately £30 per Responder, and to roll these out to the whole team would not be possible without your help, our Volunteer Responders purchase most of their kit themselves, but can you help with this one?

For just £30 you can "sponsor" a Responder, helping them to save someone's life if the worst happens. But don't worry, if £30 is too much any donation will help.

Herefordshire 4x4 Response is an organisation made up entirely of up to 60 volunteers. In times of bad weather we assist the NHS, Fire & Rescue, Police and Search & Rescue teams. Our volunteers transport essential NHS staff, Nurses, movement of essential Herefordshire Council Staff, Doctors, Paramedics, and Carers as well as delivering essential medical supplies, undertaking site evacuations, recovering stranded vehicles, and assisting with searches and support when road conditions prevent normal access for vital services.

Herefordshire 4x4 Response is run by a group of voluntary 4x4 vehicle owners who offer their driving skills, their vehicles and their time during activated periods of standby as determined by our local authorised agencies.
