I've raised £500 to support a local mens talking group set up after the tragic loss of Barton lad George Ellis who served with the Yorkshire Regiment.

I am taking part in the forthcoming Great North Run. I am asking for sponsors to help me to support a local talking group, GEO (Get Emotions Out), as part of our Barton Mayoral Charity fundraising. This group is supported by the Hull4Heroes charity which provides support for ex military men and women by ensuring they have a place to talk to people with similar life experiences. The GEO talking group was founded just over a year ago following the sad loss of local lad George Ellis. George, who served in the Yorkshire Regiment remains a much loved member of our community after sadly taking his own life aged 24. George‘s parents Adrian and Carol have worked so hard to ensure that no other families have to go through what they have experienced and I would be grateful for any donations to enable the group to continue to support those that need it most #strongertogether
