Story
For anyone who doesn’t know this gorgeous, blue-eyed Boy, this is wee John, he will be 2 years old this month, and lives in Dumfries, SW Scotland.
A couple of weeks ago John took pains in his legs and couldn’t stand up so he went to A&E with his daddy. They tested his bloods and found they were low but couldn’t find a reason why so he was sent to Glasgow Royal Childrens Hospital where he had more tests and bloods taken then 2 lots of bone marrow and bone taken & blood transfusions,
Yesterday his mummy and daddy received the worst news that we could have imagined.
John has a very rare form of cancer that isn’t normally found in children and it is extremely aggressive. It is through his skeletal system. The team of doctors decided to start him on chemotherapy immediately saying the next 10 days are vital.
John and his Mummy are now in isolation to keep John safe as his immune system will be depleted as he gets 2 rounds of chemotherapy daily.
This meaning they are separated from the rest of the family. Fallon, Maddie & Sorcha.
It is Heartbreaking for any mother being separated from your babies, especially with the youngest not even a year old yet, & now trying to cope with the devastating situation they find themselves in.
The hospital is nearly a 2 hour drive from the family home and they are unable to work due to the situation.
The family also need to rely on public transport as they do not drive to get them to and from the hospital, or kindness of family and friends.
We are trying to raise some funds to help them get through this terrible time and provide everything the children need till they are able to get back to providing for the family, unfortunately the bills don't stop due to illness.
This will also Help towards travel costs to hospital, and provide John and Mummy with Anything the require to make this horrible time a little more bearable in hospital.
Thank you for your time ❤️
Even the smallest donation is appreciated greatly xx

2 years agoUpdate from johns mummy. Day 4 of chemo. This is the last day of the blue chemo, he will still receive 2 bags of the clear one a day. One at midnight and one at lunchtime. Wee john has to fast from 7.30pm tonight ready for surgery tomorrow. He is to have a lumber puncture done, this is to look and see how the chemo is taking affect. We had physio come in to speak to us today so we are hopefully going to try and get Wee John sitting on my knee for a cuddle. We haven’t been able to cuddle our since we brought him up here.

My grandson had 4 years of treatment for leukaemia , starting when he was six. At ten he had to have a bone marrow transplant. He is now fifteen and thriving. Miracles can happen! Don't give up hope!
