Boldon CA cricket club have had their wicket covers stolen a few days before the start of the season and were forced to cancel the first home game due to the ground being too wet from heavy rain . They have been fundraising throughout the year in the hope of developing a youth team. However, they will have to raise the cash to replace the covers first. The facilities and equipment need to be upgraded and any cash raised will be plowed straight into the club.
They have a great team and deserve to have the local area support and show that thieves cannot stop people enjoying sport , keeping fit and enjoying being part of a great team
