I WANT US TO SUPPLY THE MOST AT RISK TOWER BLOCKS WITH FIRE EXTINGUISHERS & FIRE BLANKETS THAT CAN BE USED IN THE EVENT OF A FIRE - SIMPLE !
This page has been setup in memory of the families, friends, tenants and community affected by the 'Grenfell Tower' tragedy, West London.
Concerns over fire safety and tower block style accommodation have been highlighted since this incident. It is clear that many tower blocks do not have a proper 'fire safety plan' in place, nor do they have the adequate equipment to fight a fire if one was to break out in their own block.
THIS IS SIMPLY UNACCEPTABLE.
The eyewitness accounts of Wednesday 14th June are heartbreaking and I want us to prevent this type of tragedy EVER happening again.
The community has really come together to show unlimited compassion and selflessness in helping those families affected by this terrible tragedy.
It IS POSSIBLE to retrofit sprinklers into occupied, high-rise, social housing however this may take months or years, and we simply need to ensure residential safety NOW !
I WILL MAKE SURE THAT MONEY DONATED WILL GO TOWARD SUPPLYING THE MOST AT RISK TOWER BLOCKS WITH FIRE EXTINGUISHERS & FIRE BLANKETS THAT CAN BE USED IN THE EVENT OF A FIRE - SIMPLE !
My thoughts and prayers are with the entire community and all affected,
My heart goes out to those who are sadly no longer with us.
