For decades, Towerbank has worked to offer all children the chance to attend residential outdoor activity trips. Currently, this includes multi-day trips to Benmore and Lagganlia.

These trips are not only fun, but also provide an incredible opportunity to build confidence and independence, and gain a real sense of achievement. For many, the residential trips are an absolute highlight of their Towerbank experience – a rite of passage!

A fundamental commitment for the residentials is that all children must be able to attend: we all go, or no one goes. This has been achieved by substantial annual subsidies from the school to support families who are not in a position to cover the full cost.

Sadly, with the current school funding situation, it is simply not possible for the school to continue to pay for the residential trips. The dedicated Towerbank School Camp Fund is in place to cover this funding shortfall, and to ensure that this incredible experience continues to be available to all Towerbank children for years to come.

But we need your help!

Based on current prices, we need to raise £14000 every single year to ensure that full access to these residential trips can continue. If we raise more money than is needed to cover trips in the 2024/25 academic year, donations will be put towards funding for 2025/26 trips (and subsequent years).
