Story

Acorn Education Trust knows that the rising cost of living is affecting many of the children and young people people within our schools, their families and the wider community.

To raise money to support projects that will benefit the children and young people in need, members of staff from across the Trust are taking part in Tour D'Acorn: a one-day, 126km cycle ride to each school within the Trust, from Rowde to Great Wishford and Dilton Marsh to Netheravon. The route is the equivalent distance from Trowbridge to Birmingham!

The cyclists will set off from Clarendon Academy, Trowbridge, on Saturday 16th July, and travel through the Wiltshire countryside, to each of the Trust’s schools, before ending back at Clarendon Academy. Due to the high temperatures, the staff will be setting off early in the morning.

The team, who all have varied cycling experience, are hoping to raise £1,000, all of which will go towards projects that support children and young people’s academic and extra-curricular experience within Acorn schools.

If you would like to come and support the Tour D’Acorn cyclists during their journey, their full route is available to see here.

Thank you in advance for your support of Acorn Education Trust.
