    Story

24-Hour Top Gear Challenge for the Mosobbir Ali Foundation

I am excited to share that on July 23, 2024, I will be embarking on a unique and exhilarating challenge to support a cause very close to my hear, the Mosobbir Ali Foundation. Along with a group of friends, I will be participating in a 24-hour Top Gear charity event, driving from John o'Groates to Lands End in a car that costs less than £500.00. Our journey isn't just a test of endurance and automotive ingenuity; it's a drive towards a better future for many families in need.

    Why the Mosobbir Ali Foundation?

The Mosobbir Ali Foundation is dedicated to delivering aid to people living in extreme deprivation in and around Sylhet, Bangladesh. Many individuals in this region face significant hardships through no fault of their own, struggling daily for basic necessities that we often take for granted.

Our Goal: Building Homes, Building Hope

Our aim for this event is to raise funds for the construction of 10 new houses as part of the "Shantir Neer" project, which means "place of rest." These homes are designed to be durable and weather-resistant, featuring solid timber frames, metal sheets, corrugated roofing, and metal trusses. Each house represents not just a shelter, but a new beginning and a place of safety for families who have faced incredible challenges.

Since the inception of Shantir Neer, the foundation has learned and evolved, now using advanced materials to ensure that each home can withstand various weather conditions and last for many years. At the completion of each housing project, a celebratory day marks the handover of the homes to their new occupants, symbolising hope and a stable future.

    How You Can Help

By supporting our Top Gear challenge, you are not just sponsoring miles; you are helping to build homes that will shelter families for generations. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a significant impact. Together, we can help the Mosobbir Ali Foundation extend its reach and bring tangible change to the lives of many.

Please consider making a donation through this page. Your support not only drives us forward on our journey but also fuels the dreams and hopes of families awaiting their new homes.

Thank you for your generosity and encouragement.
