This is to raise awareness and help our friend Tom, who was recently stabbed and is now out of a job due to his injuries.

Tom, 27, was burgled by four masked men in his home in Ashford, Kent, earlier this week. One of the four masked men stabbed him in the arm and slashed him across the face, just a few millimetres below his eye. He will likely have these facial scars for the rest of his life. The wounds to his right arm are so severe that the nerves were severed, meaning that he has lost sensation and control of this hand.

He's just had an operation and they hope that he will re-gain use of his right arm in about 18 months, but they've made it clear that he may not have use of it again. He's right-handed and a works in landscaping - prior to this he was a chef in Kent, London, and France. The attack means that he is out of work so we're hoping to raise enough here to help him out until he finds other work. Job offers also welcome (he's fluent in French and has good references)!

The police assure us that they're doing all they can to get him justice.
