Story

Tom Weldon was diagnosed with terminal cancer slightly under 3 weeks ago, and was given a few months to live. We were in the process of organising the wedding for him and his partner, and doing some of the things he wanted to do before he died.

Tragically, Tom took a turn for the worse on Friday 5th April 2019, and died on Saturday morning, at home with his partner and eldest daughter by his side.

Tom leaves behind 3 daughters, one adult, a 15 year old and a 9 year old, as well as his partner Hoanna.

There is nothing we can do to ease their pain, but they are facing a large number of practical problems, there wasn't time for Tom to marry his partner, so there will be problems with inheritance (not that he had much), there are funeral costs to deal with, the family home is in serious disrepair, and that's just the immediate problems, Tom was a key contributor to the family finances, there is the mortgage to pay and in the longer term, the financial support a father would hope to give his daughters as they went out into the world.

Tom was a wonderful and completely devoted father, and one of the kindest and good natured people you could ever wish to meet. He wasn't afraid to die, and faced it with the same good humour that he faced the challenges of life, but he was deeply worried about leaving his daughters, and they need our support.
