Story
At least 1 in 8 couples will experience difficulties in starting or adding to their families and in 2019 5.2% of all the 880 births in Jersey were a result of fertility treatment, yet infertility is still rarely spoken about and this can often lead to those experiencing it feeling isolated and lonely.
In the 6 months that have passed since forming Tiny Seeds, we have seen the creation of a caring community of people coming together to help those experiencing a really difficult time in their lives. With people going through infertility right now also joined by others who have battled through their own journeys in the past and, knowing the pain, wish to do what they can to help.
We believe that with the creation of our support network and through face-to-face support group meetings, a private social media group and by being there to talk to when we are needed helps those going through infertility to feel less alone.
You are doing an amazing thing by bringing everyone together, raising awareness and supporting others.
We have already achieved much more than we could have hoped for from when we first started and the more we do, the more we realise the difference it is making.
We have many more plans and ideas in the pipeline for ways in which to aid those going through infertility, whilst at the same time raising awareness of the difficult and often heartbreaking experiences many people go through when trying to have a family.
We have now reached a point where we need a little help to achieve these plans and if you would like to support us in the work we are doing, we would be so incredibly appreciative of any donations received.
Any funds received will go entirely towards fulfilling our aim of ensuring that the people of Jersey living with infertility are supported at all stages of their journey. Just a few of the things that a donation would help us with are:
- The cost of our monthly support meetings and additional support related events for those experiencing infertility
- Web design and hosting fees for a website sharing appropriate advice, help and resources
- Targeted campaigns and events to help those going through infertility in Jersey
- Legal costs associated with registering Tiny Seeds as an established organisation
