Cadet William Hebditch & his dad, Dan (ex-Cadet), will be undertaking a 12 hour bike ride as part of the RAFA Rides 2021: Goes Global. For the fundraising event on Saturday 5th June 2021, they aim to ride 179 miles during the 12 hours- the distance travelled by D Company Ox & Bucks Light Infantry on 5th/6th June 1944 from Tarrant Rushton Airfield, Dorset to Pegasus Bridge in Horsa Gliders. All funds raised with go to support 1069 (Flight Refuelling Wimborne) Air Cadet squadron to provide extra curricular education and enrichment in the Wimborne area, having lost fund raising opportunities due to COVID, and also support RAFA, supporting the RAF community.
