This is my husband Tim. He was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 10 years ago - a condition that is rapidly disabling him. He has been fighting this illness since diagnosis and is now travelling to Mexico for HSCT - chemotherapy and stem cell treatment - in a final bid to stop this disease in it tracks! Although NHS trials have begun in the UK for this treatment they are reluctant to treat patients with the Secondary Progressive form of the disease and so we have decided to make the journey - at the cost of $54,500 plus the thousands of pounds of aftercare when Tim returns to the UK for follow up medication and physical therapy .
