Hello All,

I am the Thompsons delegate attending the 2025 Cuba Solidarity Campaign (CSC) May Day Brigade to Cuba in April – May 2025.

This involves flying over to Cuba and spending 2 weeks on a Trade Unionist camp, carrying out solidarity work in support of the Cuban people, touring medical facilities, schools etc and attending the Cuban Parliament.

For over 60 years Cuba has been subject to a blockade by the USA, making it very difficult for ordinary Cubans to get hold of many basic medical and other supplies that we take for granted. I therefore have arranged with the CSC to take over a suitcase full of material aid to distribute while I am in Cuba and would be really grateful for your contributions to help fill that case!

The CSC have provided a list of items to take over and I would welcome donations to help me purchase these, as well as paying the excess baggage fees of flying aid over.

Any donations over what is needed to take aid over with me, will be donated to the Cuba Vive Medical Appeal (flyer attached).

Anyone who kindly donates, let me know and I’ll have a little prize draw and bring the winner something nice back from Cuba (cigars, coffee, chocolate etc).
