As you know, my food review pages (This Manc Can Eat) were created to provide self funded, honest and impartial reviews of food establishments across Greater Manchester.

Whilst the follower and subscriber count across the platforms I post on don't mean a great deal to me. It's nice to be able to use these platforms and the reach that comes with them, to do some good and help others. As such, for the last 2 years I've set up fund raisers to help top up a local food bank, at a time where I imagine they need as much help as they can get.

Last year, we managed to raise £250 which helped fill several shopping trollies with food and supplies from Aldi which were donated to Lighthouse Project in Middleton. The donations ranged from basic every day supplies such as bread, tea and long life milk, to basic meals likes soups, beans and biscuits.

This year i'd like to do the same. However, i'm fully aware that the cost of living crisis is taking its toll and money might be tight, but anything you can spare to help others in need, would mean so much
