Story

For this challenge I have decided to support two local charities - Huntington's Disease Isle of Man and REACH IOM

Huntington’s disease is described as the “worlds cruelest disease” and has affected my family. Therefore, this charity holds a special place in my heart. There currently is no cure for this evil disease but with raising awareness and the all important funds, we move one step closer to finding it!

REACH IOM is a mental health charity that provides vital support to those in need. The founder Adam Hudgeon is one of my best friends, seeing Adam struggle with his own mental health and witnessing him turn it round to help others is remarkable. This is my Everest is not only a physical challenge, its very much a mental one so I want to inspire anyone struggling with mental health that if they put their minds to anything they can achieve it helping them through those tough times.

This challenge consists of climbing the equivalent of Mount Everest. This is means climbing from the beach in Laxey through the mines up to the top of Snaefell... 14 times!! Up and down 154miles 🏃🏽‍♂️
