OUR STORY;
For the past four years, Cultivating Mindfulness has been devoted to making mindfulness and wellbeing programmes more accessible in the community helping individuals to enhance their mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.
Our charity has measured the impact of our programmes and the positive changes they have made to the quality of adults and young people's lives to feel less anxious, stressed and depressed to feeling more connected, alive, happier, kinder, contented and resilient.
The current crisis and lockdown has impacted us all in various ways including the mental health of young people. We believe more support is needed in the community to provide accessible, relevant and age appropriate mindfulness and wellbeing programmes to meet the needs of young people aged 12-15 years, 16-18 years and 19-21 years at no cost to parents.
To ensure additional support is available to young people and their parents, we plan to open a new Wellbeing Centre in Muirend, Glasgow close to numerous bus routes and a few minutes walk from Muirend train station. Our aim is to help young people feel empowered to manage their own mental health and feel confident, kind and resilient to cope more skilfully with life.
If you would like to donate to our project. Please send us an email to info@cultivatingmindfulness.org.uk
The Wellbeing Centre will offer opportunities to learn new ways to relax and establish a balanced, healthier and happier lifestyle that incorporates the mind as well as the body using the various activities that will be available to young people and the whole community.
Additional alternative and accessible mental health support in our community has never been as important, as it is now.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HELPING OUR COMMUNITY PROJECT AND HELPING TO BRING IT TO LIFE.

4 years agoWe have now achieved an incredible 39% of our £13.5k, that's over £5k needed for the opening of The Wellbeing Centre in just over 2 weeks with your help and the help of three amazing community caring businesses. We are still looking for donations OR an Electrician, Plasterer/decorator, a Joiner/Labourer to donate their time and some materials to complete a few essential works that still need doing to open. Do you know a tradesman or company who would be willing to help us in some way, if so email juliegriffin@cultivatingmindfulness.org.uk
