Story

UK hospitals and NHS staff are not being equipped with the proper PPE to safely deal with the coronavirus pandemic. Quite simply, their lives are being put at risk, with huge knock-on effects for the patients that they could otherwise be treating.

We're 8 UCL students - 4 of us medics - who, stuck in isolation, have been wondering how we can help in any way possible. We've decided to go back to what we're (vaguely) good at, and hold a sponsored 30-day ergathon to see who can row the furthest in the month of April. Please sponsor us through a lump sum, or pledge a set amount of money aside per kilometre rowed (estimated total - a fair few thousand km's) - and at the end of April we'll be giving all donations to 'Masks for NHS Heroes', an initiative set up to supply safe PPE to all NHS staff.

Anything that you can donate will be greatly appreciated and we promise to put ourselves through endless pain for the month if you do so.
