I'm raising £2000 to Help Will & Emily Recover From a Dog Attack

Story

We're raising £2,000 : Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 31st March, Chris's daughter Emily (my step daughter), her week old baby son and a friend of the family were attacked by three dogs. The one dog went for the baby, and due to pack mentality the other two then joined in.

Emily protected her baby boy and ended up taking the brunt of the attack. Luckily, Will was coming to visit Emily and the baby that day, and on hearing screams from five houses away ran to the house but was unable to get in due to a broken door. Will had to break the window to get to them both and save them. Will is a hero! He got Emily and the baby out, where the dogs then turned on him.

They were both blue lighted to hospital and the dogs PTS that same evening.

So far, Emily has had three surgeries including one where they had to cut all the dead skin from the foot and place a skin graft. There are concerns regarding nerve damage in her arm, and her finger along with the psychological damage. She was unable to hold her baby for days due to the attack. Emily will be in hospital until day 9 at the earliest.

Will was attacked on his feet, legs, stomach, arms, hands and neck. He will be scarred forever. He has been through 2 surgeries and was able to go home on day 6. When he got to the hospital the ring he was given by his grandad before he died had to be cut off.

The baby has been in hospital the entire time, but in the baby unit with his dad looking after him. He is ok, but did have two wounds which the doctors have treated. To start Emily was unable to hold him, never mind feed him and at this young age has been unable to be with him and looking after him. Thanks to Emily the baby got away with only minor injuries and will be able to go home when Emily does.

This page has been created to help make their lives just a little bit easier over the next few months as they recover from the attack. Will works in security and at present cannot work.

Will is a hero, there is no other word for what he did to save Emily and the baby. Without him, it would have been a whole different story and this page would have been for the funeral of mummy and son. I'm not being dramatic, that is how it is, we are so grateful to Will and will be indebted to him forever.

Anything you can give to help Emily and Will over the next few months would be much appreciated by both xx
